Connor supported my first-ever backpacking trip! He was kind enough to teach and advise on how to best pack our backpack, take his time to make sure we were safe on our hike up, and gave us the opportunity to put our own tent site up. We would work with Connor and Connor’s Backpacking Rentals and Adventures again,100%!

Connor was an amazing host in October 2024. During peak autumn season, we hiked the Tinker Cliffs and McAfee Knob via the Appalachian Trail, and we camped overnight near McAfee Knob. The overnight trip was ~20 miles in total. He was able to provide us the supplies we needed including an overnight backpack, sleeping bag, tent, and miscellaneous hiking items (head lamp, whistle, etc.). He gave us tips prior to the trip including what food to bring and what to expect on the trails. As a new hiker and camper, I could not have done this without Connor as a trail guide + the equipment he supplied. He was a great supporter on the trails and showed us how to set up camp for the night. He even brought "UNO" as a fun way to pass the time. It was an unforgettable experience, and I cannot wait to book my next trip with Connor!

Connor accompanied us on a hike in January 2024 of Table Rock Mountain via Spencer Ridge Trail in NC. The hike was approximately 4.0-miles on a strenuous trail. Connor was easy to work with because he set a mutual meeting place, communicated trail tips before and during the hike, and knew the best spots to snap a photo/eat a snack along the way! I was able to bring my dog on the trip, and Jack (Connor's dog) joined as well! 100% will be seeing Connor and Jack again on the trails!

This weekend I got to experience my first hike ever with Connor. We hiked up McAfee Knob which was 8.4 miles long there and back. The backpacks Connor provided had all the supplies we needed to make it through the hike and have a fabulous time. Connor taught me how to set up a tent, make dehydrated meals, persevere to the top of the mountain, helpful tips for hiking, and helped me find my love for hiking. He also made sure we stayed on the right trail and found us the perfect place to camp for the night. Throughout the whole trip Connor helped me enjoy every second. I was lucky to have Connor with me for my first hike and I hope others experience the joy of hiking with him. Overall best experience ever!! Connor’s backpacking rentals and adventures is the best!! I can’t wait to book my next adventure!!
